Media Communications Association -International, North Jersey Chapter Supports Children’s Organ Transplant Association with Public Service Announcement

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

East Hanover, NJ — The Children’s Organ Transplant Association was the focus of a Public Service Announcement filmed by The Media Communications Association-International, North Jersey Chapter on Sunday, January 5, 2003 at the Roller Coaster Studios, East Hanover.

The Public Service Announcement will help raise awareness for the Children’s Organ Transplant Association, a national charity dedicated to helping families of children who need life-saving transplants and to raising funds to cover transplant expenses.

Each year the MCA-I of North Jersey sponsors a pro bono Public Service Announcement or other community service project. Chapter members contribute their time, skills, talent, and service to benefit worthy causes. Some past work includes the Habitat For Humanity PSA and the Alzheimer’s Association PSA.

Shooting a PSA requires the dedication of many and those who helped in this production deserve special recognition: Producers: Thomas Dheere and Judy Seaman. Director: Jay Dorfman, Unherd Of Productions, who was part of the original creative team that launched MTV. DP: Dennis Boni, who also shoots for PBS, Discovery Channel, History Channel and the Learning Channel. Lighting Director Dave Hall. Roller Coaster Studios of East Hanover, NJ, which provided their facility at no charge. John Johnson, U.S. Regional Sales and Marketing Manager, Eastman Kodak, who was responsible for contributing 16mm color film stock for the production. Russ Sunniewick, President of Colorlab, located in Rockville, Maryland, provided film processing and transfer to videotape. And last but certainly not least the cast of 16 children, the many other volunteer crew members of MCA-I and Applebee’s Restaurant which provided lunch for the cast and crew.
