Lisa Yapp has enjoyed nearly two decades producing business news programming for some of the world’s best-known networks.
At CNN, she produced the CEO profile program, Pinnacle, which featured guests such as Karl Lagerfeld, Donald Trump, and Jerry Jones of the Dallas Cowboys among others. As Senior Producer, she created Business Unusual with Lou Dobs, the first business magazine program to air on CNN and the first business magazine show to deal with the roles creativity and inspiration play in business. Lisa was a vital player in the launch of CNNfn, creating Biz Buzz, which still airs today as The Biz.
For HBO’s America Undercover, Lisa produced an hour-long documentary called The Vampire Murders about a group of Kentucky teens on a killing spree.
Most recently, she helped create the PBS special series, CEO Exchange, hosted by respected journalist Jeff Greenfield. CEO Exchange was shot internationally and featured many well-known CEOs such as Sun’s Scott McNealy, HP’s Carly Fiorina, John Chambers of Cisco, and Jack Welch of GE.
She has received a Gracie Allen Award for a feature series she produced from American Women in Radio and Television (AWRT) called New York Women.
