NEW YORK, NY — Burst @ Creative Bubble, a new digital audio and sound design company with two custom-designed audio suites and two record booths, opened its doors on September 30 in New York’s Union Square, seamlessly integrating with Creative Bubble’s editing, graphic, and multimedia suites.
Marcelo Gandola, the co-founder, senior audio engineer, and a principal in Burst @ Creative Bubble, helped design and supervise the construction of the new facility. After an extensive search, Creative Bubble lured Marcelo back to his native New York from Miami to launch a complimentary audio facility capable of providing clients next generation audio for video. Marcelo was senior audio engineer at BVI Miami and one of the hottest audio engineers on the South Florida scene during the past decade. He started his career in the early ‘80s in New York at Trackworks where he was mentored by industry veterans Bart Smith, Rex Recker, Joe Vagnoni, and Richie Becker.
Burst’s two audio suites feature Avid Digidesign Pro Tools HD with AVXL Option and Control|24 mixing consoles that communicate directly to Creative Bubble’s Symphonies and Media Composers through Avid Unity. This provides clients with the ability to digitize their media once for video editorial and sound. The customized and acoustically-designed rooms include recording booths with Webcasting capabilities, Telos Zephyr Xtream digital network transceiver for remote voice-overs, Neumann U87 Microphones, Focusrite Mic Preamps, DAT, CD recorders, Tascam DA-88, and an assortment of other state-of-the art audio equipment. Burst @ Creative Bubble also offers extensive sound effects and music libraries, laptops with wireless Internet access for client use, and a spectacular view of the Empire State Building.
Initially, Burst @ Creative Bubble will work with Creative Bubble’s “Who’s Who” list of cable clients and advertising agencies. Marcelo, who is fluent in Spanish, also plans to continue working with Hispanic market clients both in advertising and cable. While Marcelo worked at BVI Miami, he was an integral part of the team that launched Latin America channels for Nickelodeon, MTV, and DirecTV. He also mixed numerous radio and television spots for a wide range of agencies including del Rivero Messianu, DDB; Zubi Advertising, and The Bravo Group.
“This is yet another example of Creative Bubble doing what it takes to service its clients,” says Rob Ortiz, a principal in Creative Bubble and the company’s managing director. “This facility is not only equipped with the most talented people in the business, but now offers a turnkey solution for clients who need to work with video, audio, special effects, and animation. After an extensive search we are thrilled to get Marcelo to head up Burst @ Creative Bubble.”
“Being back here after 10 years in Miami has given me a huge boost of creative energy,” Marcelo says. “I am excited about the opportunity of integrating Burst with Creative Bubble to provide clients innovative audio solutions.”
